Colts vs Queensborough Community College
The SUNY Orange Colts will be playing in their first home game of the new year as they look to turn things around as they have been 0-2 since the start of 2024. They took on the Tigers of Queensborough in a back and forth game where neither team was able to maintain a lead. After a tough game the Colts have suffered their 3rd loss in a row and look to turn thing around as we approach the end of the season. After a competitive four quarters the Colts fell just short of the win after the Tigers were able to score the last 3 points in the game as time expired to end the game with a score of 58-56 the Colts stand with a record of 5-8 as their hopes for playoffs are starting to fade away as they desperately need a win to stay alive.
Sophomore, #3 Liliana Ramirez had the performance of the night as she finished as the leading scorer with 27 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and came away with 4 steals.
Freshman, #12 Taniyah Montogomery finished as the second highest scorer with 8 points scored and added 3 rebounds, 2 assists and one steal to her night.
Freshman, #10 Jaylen Soltani finished with 6 points scored and also added 2 rebounds and 4 assists.
