Middletown, NY - The SUNY Orange Colts took down Rockland 56-26. With this victory the Colts improve to 3-16 as the Hawks fall to 0-4 on the season.
Leading the Colts was freshman Jada Reed (Eldred, NY / Eldred) with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and eight steals. Freshman Madison Olsen (Wappingers Falls / Roy C. Ketcham) added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, one assist, four steals and four blocks. Sophomore Adriana Vazquez (Newburgh, NY / John. S. Burke) had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while also adding one assist, seven steals and one block.
The Colts took control of the game early and never let up. By the end of the first half SUNY Orange held a 29-15 advantage. Returning from the break the Colts did not let up, they carried their momentum into the second half as they put up an additional 27 points while limiting the Hawks to 11 points.
SUNY Orange is back in action to face Dutchess Community College on Thursday, February 19. Tip-off at 5:00 PM.
