Pacciarelli Named First Team All-American
Middletown, NY - SUNY Orange standout freshman Anthony Pacciarelli (Monroe, NY / St. Joseph Regional) was named a 2025-26 NJCAA Division II First Team All-American Wednesday. This marks back to back years the Colts have had a First Team All-American, after Jabari Phillip was named following the 2024-25 season.
Pacciarelli's All-American nod adds to his already extensive list of honors following his freshman campaign. He was previously named Mid-Hudson Conference Male Athlete of the Week four times, Mid-Hudson Conference First Team All-Conference, Mid-Hudson Conference Most Valuable Player, Region XV First Team All-Region, Region XV Player of the Year, Region XV Tournament Most Valuable Player, and NJCAA Division II National Championships All-Tournament Team.
Pacciarelli finished the season averaging 26.5 points per game, the second highest mark in the nation among all Division II players. He was also second on the Colts with 6.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He scored a career-high 50 points against Ulster on February 10, the second most points in a single game in school history, trailing only Steve Schumer's 54 points against Westchester during the 1961-62 season. His nine three-pointers in that game is also tied for second most in a single game in program history.
In the Colts' NJCAA first round win over Prince George's Pacciarelli scored 33 points, giving him 802 points on the year, and broke the program's single-season scoring record. He finished the season with 875 points, the most among all NJCAA players in the country, regardless of division. His 99 three-pointers on the year is tied for the second most in program history, trailing only Kevin Stein's 123 during the 2022-23 season.
Pacciarelli recently committed to continue his basketball career at NCAA Division I Manhattan University. The Jaspers compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
