Colts vs Wolves

 The SUNY Orange Colts will play in their first game of the season as they face off against the Wolves from Western Connecticut (JV team) as they look to continue in last season's success as they made a final four appearance and achieved a record of 31 wins and 3 losses. With their first game being a home appearance for the Colts they hope the home court advantage helps them start off the season with a winning record. 

 The SUNY Orange Colts put on a masterclass performance against Western Connecticut Junior Varsity team as they came away with the Victory with a score of 83-56. To start the game off and record the first points for the Colts this season, forward Mat Shea scored an easy layup coming off a sweet pass from Jared Smalls.  Freshman Marquis Gill had a dominating performance after a tough first half where he was only able to knock down 1 three pointer through 3 attempts. Out of the halftime break he was lights out as he went 7/7 from behind the three point line  and ignited his hot streak where he finished off with 30 points.

Freshman, #1 Marquis Gill (Middletown,NY) was the leading scorer as he finished  with 30 points shooting 8-12 from three and also had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals

Sophomore, #3 Jared Smalls (Middletown, NY) finished off with 2 points but was the main facilitator as he came away with 10 assists and grabbed 3 rebounds 

Sophomore, #23 Tyreke Harewood  (Bridgetown, Barbados) finished the game with 8 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while blocking 4 shots on defense.
