Orange over Westchester in Big Mid-Hudson Conference Matchup
20th win for the Colts, team tied for first place.
The SUNY Orange Colts took home their 12th consecutive win in a row to get to 20 wins for the year. With three games remaining the team could finish with a record of 23-4. As the team is screaming towards the end of the regular season, all three remaining games are Mid-Hudson Conference matchups that will all play a huge factor in who will win the regular season title and post season playoff seedings. The four Sophomores on the team; Jared Smalls, Tyreke Harewood, George Patsalos and Justin Hannibal also broke a school record last night. They hold the record for the most wins in two years as they have accumulated a 51-7 record up to this point with three games left in the regular season and post season approaching they will look to increase the amount of wins that they have. There were 5 athletes who accumulated 10+ stats in either points, rebounds or assists.
With a 86-62 victory over the Vikings the Colts will look to continue their conference success with three more conference games to close out the season.
Freshman, #2 Mat Shea (Wallkill, NY) earned another performance of the nights as he finished with a double-double notching 19 points and 10 rebounds. This marks his 5th double-double of the season.
Sophomore, #24 George Patsalos (New Windsor, NY) also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. George also added 4 steals, 2 blocks and 1 steal to his great night. This marks George's 10th double-double of the season.
Sophomore, #3 Jared Smalls had himself another wonderful performance as he has recorded 14 assisted baskets in back to back games. Smalls also added 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 points to add to his great night distributing the ball.
