Colts vs Defenders of Clark Summit
The SUNY Orange Colts defeated the Defenders from Clark Summit in a game that was over within the first 5 minutes. After the first quarter the Colts were leading by a total of 39 points as they scored 56 points to Clark Summits 17. This game will be their most dominant win of the season with a final score of 107-34 an almost 75 point difference. In tonight's game there were 6 players for the Colts who accumulated double digits in either points, assists or rebounds.
There were three players who played more than 25 minutes in the game as everyone was getting their share of playtime. The Colts will be traveling to face off against the Vikings of Westchester as this will be the last time the two teams see each other until next season.
Sophomore, #24 George Patsalos (New Windsor, NY) has earned himself the performance of the night after a wonderful game. In 28 minutes George scored 17 points on 8-15 shooting and also recorded 11 rebounds and 5 steals.
Freshman, #2 Mat Shea (Wallkill, NY) was the games leading scorer as he scored 19 points in just 19 minutes of play while going a fantastic 8/9 from the free throw line. Shea also recorded 9 rebounds and 2 steals.
Sophomore, #3 Jared Smalls (Middletown, NY) has had a fantastic season thus far distributing the ball as he is currently ranked #2 in the country in assists just two total assists behind the #1 spot, but ranked #1 in assists per game by just 0.2 assists as they two of them face off on February 15th at SUNY Orange. Smalls finished the game with 8 points going 4-4 100% from the field, he also recorded 14 assists grabbed 3 rebounds and snatched 2 steals
