2025 Women's Volleyball Season Recap
Middletown, NY - The SUNY Orange women's volleyball team wrapped up their 2025 season with a 10-11 record. Impressively, each of the Colts victories came in straight sets as the Colts completed a sweep in each win. The Colts were the third seed in the Mid-Hudson Conference tournament and the sixth seed in the Region XV tournament.
The Colts went 5-4 at home, 4-4 while on the road and 1-3 in neutral sites. Over 21 matches, SUNY Orange compiled 586 kills, 1,892 total attacks with a .158 hitting percentage. The offence averaged 8.25 kills per set. The Colts totalled 273 service aces (3.85 per set). Defensively SUNY Orange had 674 digs (9.49 per set).
From September 23 to October 4, the Colts enjoyed a six-match winning streak, defeating Region XV opponents Rockland, Ulster, Bronx, Hostos, Dutchess and Borough of Manhattan.
Freshman Angelina Rivera (Minisink Valley/Paramus, NJ) was named First-Team All-Region following a debut campaign in which she totaled 293.5 points with 202 kills, 89 service aces, 24 assists and 169 digs. In addition, Rivera had been named the Mid-Hudson Conference Athlete of the Week twice during the season.
Sophomore Lily Noteboom (Goshen/Goshen, NY) earned All-Region Honorable Mention honors. Noteboom tallied 194.5 points with 119 kills, 65 service aces, 100 assists and 141 digs. She finishes her SUNY Orange career with 316.5 points on 188 kills, 400 assists, 108 service aces and 276 digs.
Freshman Avriel Padua (Middletown/Middletown, NY) was named to the All-Region Sportsmanship team. The freshman outside hitter appeared in 21 matches and 71 sets for the Colts, recording 39 kills, 14 service aces, 16 assists, and 97 digs.
