Rivera Named Mid-Hudson Conference Player of the Week After Dominant Performance
Middletown, NY- Freshman Angelina Rivera (Paramus, NJ/Minisink Valley) was named the Mid-Hudson Conference Player of the week of September 22nd.
Rivera totaled 29 kills and 28 aces over four matches as the Colts went 4-0. She started the week off by setting a personal best with nine kills in a dominant win over Ulster. Just two days later on September 27th she delivered another outstanding performance against Hostos, racking up a career-high of 12 aces.
Rivera currently ranks fourth in the nation among NJCAA Division III volleyball athletes in service aces per set (1.86), 16th in total service aces (41) and 19th in points per set (4.2).
The Colts return to action on Saturday, October 4th as they head to Dutchess Community College to face Borough of Manhattan Community College and Fashion Institute of Technology.
