Orange Golfers Open at Rockland
Cold wet conditions send scores high on opening day.
Orange Golf opened the season in Suffern, NY at the par 72 Spook Rock Golf Course. The sometimes heavy rain mostly subsided by the time the golfers were ready to tee off. It still left for fairly wet and cold conditions on the course. Orange's Liam Parker came out of the gate strong with a 41 on the front nine. He was a bit disappointed with his back nine of 45 for a total of 86. Shea Clarke and David Dewhirst both shot higher than anticipated but are looking forward to bouncing back quickly at the team's next match. Orange's season continues Monday at Wiltwyck Golf Course in Kingston. It should be an interesting event as it will take place during the total eclipse. Sounds like all the conditions may be right for a "hole-in-one."
